Lauro Herrera, 80, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Community Hospice of Texas in Fort Worth. Born in McAllen, Mr. Herrera attended McHi and loved his Bulldogs. "Larry", as he was known, was enlisted in the U.S. Army and retired from Triumph Aerostructure in 2011 after 25+ years. Mr. Herrera is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 54 years Maria Minerva Herrera. and his son, Lauro Faustino Herrera. He is survived by his two daughters, Dahlia D. (Reynaldo) Zaragoza and Audrey Herrera; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Viewing and visitations will begin today Friday, April 29, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary being recited at Ceballos Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church of McAllen. Burial at 11:00 a.m. will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
Due to the heat, please dress comfortably. Asking that you wear Dallas Cowboys gear or colors. Dad was a great fan. The Herrera family entrusted their services to the care of Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen.
