Laural Elaine Hildebrandt, age 91, passed away March 26, 2021. She was born July 31, 1929 to Ernest and Lelah Allen. On July 8, 1949 she was united in marriage to Marion Hildebrandt. They lived in rural Clare, where she was a homemaker and known for her great cooking and baking. Laural loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved doing crafts and spending time with the grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Arthur Center Church of God where she served teaching Sunday School and playing the piano and organ for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Marion, 4 daughters, Phyllis (Cam) Goetz of Mauston, Wisconsin, Dawn (Joe) Foss of Clare, Yvonne Hildebrandt of Clare, Lori (Mike) Knoertzer of Gladwin; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren; sister Lelah (Mike) Dwyer; sisters-in-laws Orta Allen and Emma Allen and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Lelah Allen, brothers Kenneth, Max, Norman and Russel Allen; her sister Naomi Spicer, a daughter Lynette Hutchinson and granddaughter Vicki Hutchinson. She will be greatly missed by us all.
Visitation will be held for the public on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Social distancing and mask wearing will be encouraged. Services will take place privately at the Arthur Center Church of God on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 with committal in the Arthur Twp. Cemetery to follow. Committal services will take place at 11:45 A.M. and everyone is welcomed to attend.
