Graveside services for Mrs. Laurah Vern Braddock will be held on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Shaw officiating under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Braddock was born on October 28, 1938 and went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2021. She was the most unselfish, caring woman in the world and her priority was to always make sure everyone around was supported and loved. She lived a happy and fulfilled life.
Laurah was known by her family and friends as "Mrs. B" and by her grandchildren as "Ninny" - both names holding a special type of bond. Mrs. B was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, first and foremost. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She made friends everywhere she went and if you were ever in her presence, you felt her unconditional love. Mrs. B loved doing laundry, riding back roads, playing cards, Christmas mornings, and a good fish fry and Texas Rangers baseball.
Mrs. B is survived by her husband of 67 years, Elmer Cleveland "Brad" Braddock Sr., daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Sammy Wilbanks, son and daughter-in-law Elmer Jr. "Shorty" and D'Ann Braddock; grandchildren, Laurah Jackson and husband Anton, Slater Braddock and wife Tyrani, Samantha Wilbanks, Matthew Braddock and wife Courtney, Stormie Braddock, Mason Braddock and wife Kaetlin; niece Missy Carter; nephew Jimmy Dale Robinson; plus 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. B was proceeded in death by her mother, father, sister and firstborn son, James Neal Braddock. We know that he was waiting for her at the pearly gates with open arms. What a wonderful reunion that must have been! Mrs. B will be dearly missed. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not!
Serving as pallbearers are Slater Braddock, Matthew Braddock, Mason Braddock, Dakota Jackson, Tyler Jackson, and Peyton Harrison.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ned Fratangelo and Flem Lockett.
