Rev. Dr. Laura E. Petty-Burrell, 84, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Mansfield Texas.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 27, at New Galilee Missionary Baptist, 1435 W. Broad St., Mansfield, TX. Interment: Rest-Ever Memorial Park, Bryan TX. Visitation: Friday, October 26, 4-6 p.m. at The Major Funeral Home & Chapel, 9325 South Freeway, Fort Worth TX.



She was preceded in death by her parents Aaron and Ethel (Manning) Smith, brother: Henry Smith; spouses James Petty Sr. and Rev. John Burrell.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her children: Edward (Wanda), James, Jr. (Gail), William, and Madelyn; sisters: Marjorie Greenwood, Bettye Price, and Grace Winston; brothers: John Smith, and Aaron Smith (Donna); and five grandchildren: Bradley Petty, Donnall (Erica) Wells, Allen Petty, Rebecca Petty, Cedric Bowman, Jr. and Imani Johnson; two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
