Covarrubias, Laura Beth GLENMONT Laura Beth Covarrubias, 38, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 8, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Born in Olney, Md. she was the loving daughter of Kathryn Lynn Turner and Albert Alan DiTizio. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Laura moved to Wisconsin, where she obtained her master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, staying for 10 years, prior to moving to New York less than a year ago. Laura loved creating art, traveling, loved the beach, hiking and sailing, motorcycle riding, and photography. Above all she loved her kids, family, and friends. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Sophia, age seven, and Vincent Covarrubias, age three; her sisters, Sarah Marie Woods (Gary) and Michelle Lynn DiTizio; grandmother, Lois Erisman; nephews, Noah and Michael Woods; aunt and uncle, Jackie and Doug Rider; her loving partner, Raymond Suen; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Laura's family on Monday, June 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. A service to celebrate her life and legacy will immediately follow at 6 p.m. Please only enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot doors. Services in Maryland are being planned and will follow later in the week.
