Bedford-LaTonia Jo Baker, 71, passed away at 8:52 am on December 2, 2020 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 27, 1949 in Lawrence County she was the daughter of William and Barbara (Mann) Sorrells. She married Leo Frederick Baker on June 19, 1987 and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2018.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Phillips and his wife Andrea of Heltonville; a daughter-in-law, Janet Phillips of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren: Cody Phillips and his wife Tanya, Jessie Phillips, and Jossie Tanksley; two great grandchildren: Eliza Jane Phillips, and Cody Lane Phillips; two sisters: Tamara Mantsch of Indianapolis, and Kelly Smith of Mitchell; one brother, Brian Sorrells of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, William Phillips, and one brother, Jeffrey Burgess.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Kentucky Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
