Larry David Wimert, 80, of Fayetteville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday,
May 30, 2024.
Larry was a loving Husband, Father, grandfather, and brother. He always brought joy and happiness to those around him and loved spending time with his family, friends and church family.
Born on September 15, 1943, in Westminster Maryland, he was the son of the late Walter David Wimert and Hilda Mae (Petry) Wimert. Larry was the loving and devoted Husband of 59 years to Joyce Faye Wimert.
Larry was a graduate of Westminster High School. He worked for Black and Decker of Hampstead, Maryland and Fayetteville, North Carolina for 42 years. Larry enjoyed working in his woodshop making crafts. Larry and Joyce started Carolina Crafts as a side business. He was a devoted member of Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife. Surviving are son, David A Wimert and wife, Corinne A Wimert of Leland, NC; grandchildren Jordan Allen Wimert, Kayla Wimert and Charles Wimert. Larry is survived by a sister Catherine Marquette and husband Wade of Westminster, Maryland and a brother, James Wimert of Westminster and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Friday, July 5, 2024, in Westminster, Maryland with Reverend Clifford Elkins officiating.
