Larry Tim Williams, born on September 8, 1966, passed away peacefully at his home in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
Tim was the son of Larry L. Williams and Maxine (Smith) Williams (David Lee). He grew up in the south end of Pocatello alongside his siblings: Michael J. Williams, Sarah E. Williams (Jason Gilsdorf), and Stacey L. Smith. As a child, he spent countless hours exploring the hills, riding bikes, and working on cars with his lifelong friend Lee Pearson. After high school, Tim married Doris Young, and together they had three children: S. Alizabeth Williams (Raygen Sampson), Misty L. Carpenter (Lance Carpenter), and Tyson J. Williams (Crystal Bair). Later, he married Jessica Ashley, with whom he had a son, Ryan A. Williams. Tim was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world and brought him immense joy.
Tim's passion for woodworking began during his time in the cabinetry business, where he formed lasting friendships that remained dear to him even after transitioning to a career at Idaho State University's maintenance department. At ISU, he discovered a love for maintaining college campuses and caring for their buildings?a role that blended his construction experience with his woodworking skills. In September 2023, Tim became the Maintenance Director at Klamath Community College in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Although this move took him away from his children, they always remained his greatest source of happiness.
Tim loved fishing and spending time in nature, often accompanied by one of his beloved Labrador retrievers?a constant presence in his life for over 30 years. He also enjoyed participating in the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA), heavy fighting, and exploring history through this unique pastime.
