Larry Whitesides, Sr.

Larry Whitesides, Sr., age 79, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

Larry was born August 3, 1944 in Rutherford County, NC, the son of the late James Whitesides and Gladys Epley Whitesides.

Larry worked in the textile industry and was of the Church of God faith. He enjoyed being with his family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed watching TV.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife of almost 60 years, Mary Jolly Whitesides of the home; his daughter, Sherri Williams of Troutman; his sons, Larry Whitesides, Jr. (Sabrina) of Troutman, Jason Whitesides (Elizabeth) of Ohio, Adams Whitesides (Kristin) of Troutman; his grandchildren, Ashley Williams (Tristan), William Whitesides, Eli Whitesides, Rylee Whitesides, Tyler Merrill, Wyatt Farrier; his great-grandchildren, Emily Lambert, Leo Whitesides.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. James Smith will officiate.
