On May 10, 2020, Larry Thomas Petrowski, 68, passed away after a short illness.
He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Carl Petrowski, his mother Margaret Petrowski, one sister Midge Cavagnaro, and two nephews, Kevin Swadling and Daniel Swadling.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn; his children, Jeremiah Petrowski, Brian Petrowski, and Stacy Petrowski; one brother, Franklin Joseph Swadling; and three sisters, Roxanne (David) Fettig, Joetta Honson and Lynne Johnson. He had lots of nephews and nieces who he loved very much. Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Paige, Julia, Dylan and Trevor Petrowski.
Larry loved many things about life. He loved to party and have a good time. He loved mushroom hunting in the spring and harvesting his garden in the fall. He loved doing yardwork for himself and many clients and neighbors. He was also the best builder and always built it right. He also liked to fish and hunt. Larry will surely be missed by his children and grandchildren and all of his friends and neighbors. Most of all, he will be missed by his friend, wife and mother of his children, Dawn, who loved him with all her heart. Larry, may you rest in peace.
Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey, where Larry will be laid to rest next to his sister and his parents.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses or to the American Cancer Society.
