GROVERTOWN - Larry D. Scarborough, 80, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth following an illness with his family by his side. Larry was born on September 20, 1940 in rural Knox to the late Dave and Florence (Tinkey) Scarborough.
Larry attended Knox Community Schools and lived in the area his whole life and on August 6, 1966 in rural Knox, he married the love of his life Lu (Luba) Nenycz of Knox who survives. Larry was a retired farmer and a retired Truck Driver with the Starke County Highway Department, a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Koontz Lake and a member of the Grovertown Conservation Club for 40 years serving as President for over 10 years where he helped with the Pig Scramble at 4-H fair each year. Larry was also an avid bowler for over 50 years, enjoyed fishing with family and letting the "big ones get away". In his retirement years, Larry loved spending time with his grandkids at all of their events, from 4-H and horse shows to sporting events and band concerts that they were involved in. Most of all he cherished all of his family deeply and always got together for family cookouts and playing cards and he was always there to help out anyway he could to lend a hand.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Dave Scarborough Jr., Robert Scarborough and infant Richard Scarborough; and one sister Bonnie Grossman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Grovertown Conservation Club or to his family.
Due to Covid-19 mandates and restrictions a private Funeral Service will be held with burial at Fletcher Cemetery. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date when restrictions are lifted at the Grovertown Conservation Club.
