Mr. Larry Paul Rogers, age 88, of Rome, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Larry was born in Rome, Georgia, on May 30, 1936, son of the late Grady Rogers and the late Ruby Josephine McCabe Rogers. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dora Ann Cordle Rogers, son, Douglas Paul "Doug" Rogers, brothers, Bud Rogers, Bill Rogers, David Rogers, Bobbie Jane Headrick, and Danny Rogers. Larry served our country in the United States Air Force. He worked for Georgia Kraft as a pipefitter and was a member of North Rome Church of God. Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all.
Survivors include his daughter, Vickie Patterson (Patrick); grandchildren, Anna Patterson Adams (Chase), Mistie Rogers Shenkel Blair (Bryan), Michael Rogers (Julie), and Corey Patterson (Caity); great-grandchildren, Gunner Shenkel, Anderson Adams, Davis Adams, Remington Rogers, Colten Rogers, Saoirse Patterson, Barrett Rogers and Maren Patterson; sister, Libby Holland; several nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date.
