Larry Joe Pierce

Larry J. Pierce, age 77, passed away on September 23, 2025 at his home in Blue Ridge. He was born to the late Frank and Lena Pierce. Larry graduated from West Fannin High School in 1966. He attended The Georgia Institute of Technology earning an undergraduate degree in architectural engineering and Georgia State University, graduating with a Master of Public Administration. Larry worked as a Manager for the Georgia Department of Corrections, and The Coca-Cola Company. After retirement from The Coca-Cola Company, Larry enjoyed teaching classes in Management and in Ethics at Mercer University-Atlanta and Georgia Gwinnett College and was devoted to his students. He loved cooking, fishing, traveling and growing flowers and vegetables.

In addition to his parents, Frank Pierce and Lena McKinnon, who predeceased him, Larry is survived by his wife, his true love and best friend, Victoria Johnson Pierce. He is also survived by son, Lee Johnson (Sandra) of Atlanta; daughter, Jennifer Cohen (Marcel) of Dunwoody; and son John Pierce (Lizel) of Milton. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Ariana Cohen Spearman, Sophia Cohen, Lex Cohen, Liara Pierce and Alyssa Pierce.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
