Larry G. Pentecost, Greenwood, passed away on the evening of June 5, 2022. Larry was born on August 1, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, the son of the late Maurice Q. Pentecost and Ella Jane (Miller) Pentecost. Larry was a 1964 graduate of Whitewater Twp High School in Franklin County, Indiana, and went on to attend Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis.
Larry worked at D&M in Connersville, Indiana for 18 years and was employed in other businesses in the Connersville and Rushville area. In his early years, he also assisted his father in farming operations near Oxford, Ohio. Larry was a former member of the Springfield Methodist Church in Franklin County. His hobbies included coin collecting, farming, watching sports on television and collecting western and Native American memorabilia.
Larry is survived by his brother, Ed (Erny) Pentecost of Anderson, South Carolina; his sister, Sandy (Ray) Hillman of Greenwood; his nephews, Mike (Courtney) Pentecost of Nashville, Tennessee, Craig (Amy) Hillman of Westfield, and Kyle Hillman of Whiteland; his niece, Amanda (Troy) Becker of Tampa, Florida as well as several great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
