Larry Duane HIll, age 79, passed away on February 19, 2024. He was born at home on October 17, 1944 in Lake City, Michigan to Uretta and Lewis HIll.
Larry graduated from Lake City High School in 1962, enlisted in the Marines in 1965, and served until honorably discharged in 1969 with a rank of Sargent. He fought in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart, Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defence Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam, Campaign Medal, and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.
Larry was an over the road truck driver for more than 40 years as well as a Jeffco Sheriff's officer, car salesman, and did cement work for a construction company. Larry was a prolific reader and never met a book he didn't like. Westerns were his favorite, in particular anything from Louis L'Amore. After retirement, he volunteered with the Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 47 years, their daughter, Jennifer Hubbard, their son, Travis Hill, and two grandchildren, Sam and Emma Hubbard. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Hill, and two sisters, Ella Jean (Ginger) Hellman and Beverly Kay, a niece, several nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Lakewood, Colorado. Burial is in Fort Logan National Cemetery. The family was served by Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, Lakewood Colorado.
