Larry G. Graves, 86, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired fireman and assistant fire chief for 37 years for the Scottsville Volunteer Fire Department, former co-owner and operator of G. & W. Furniture, former member of the Allen County School Board and Scottsville City Council, member and two time past master of Graham Lodge #208 F & A M and former District deputy and member of Highland General Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a son of the late Gilbert Gofrey Graves and Gladys Blanche Davis Graves.
He is survived by his wife: Pearl Graves, Scottsville, KY;
2 sons: Steven "Tony" Graves and wife, Kat, and David Edward Graves, all of Scottsville, KY;
1 brother: Jerry Graves, Scottsville, KY;
1 grandson: Brayden Tyler Graves;
4 step grandchildren: Chris, Sean, Alexis and Krista;
1 step great grandson: Deckland.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Glenda Faye Graves Morgan Perry.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Highland General Baptist Church with Bro. Don Rhoads officiating and burial in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Friday until funeral time at Highland General Baptist Church. Graham Lodge #208 F & A M will hold masonic rites at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Goad Funeral Home. All master masons wishing to participate should be at the lodge at 6:30 p.m.
