Larry Kinch Bowman passed away at the age of 73 on September 2, 2021 at his home in Lovettsville, VA. Larry is survived by his loving children, Kelsea Bordoe of Round Hill, VA, Kevin Bowman of Austin, TX, Kim Williams (Joey) of Purcellville, VA, his grandchildren Nora and Logan Williams, his brothers Gary Bowman, Don Bowman, and Steve Bowman and his sister Shirley Perry. He is also survived by his former spouse, Linda Bowman.
Born on January 7, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Gerald Bowman and the late Mary Foreman Bowman. Larry grew up biking, boy-scouting and creating chaos with his brothers throughout the farms and streets of Shippensburg. Larry graduated from Drexel University and put in 45 years of service with the Department of Defense as a civil servant. He treasured all of his adventures in Europe, living in Germany for 5 years.
He was a loving family man cherished by his children and his passion was cruising on his motorcycle and enjoying good German brews and brats. He was a good son, a good brother, a good father, a good friend, a good man. Larry was a dedicated member of the church choir. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 3:00pm at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Lovettsville, VA.
