Larry James Bergren, age 73, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022. He was born in Muskegon, MI on October 4, 1948 to Carl & Marian (Graves) Bergren and graduated from North Muskegon High School in 1966. He married the former Gloria Roberts on December 6, 1968 in Muskegon. Larry had been employed as a auto mechanic for various companies including Vincent and Michael Chevrolet dealerships, Muskegon Brake, and Delong Trucking. He later worked as a custodian for Whitehall Public Schools and also worked as a groundskeeper at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Larry was a member of Rothbury Community Church and enjoyed tinkering on various projects, fixing cars for friends and being outdoors. He was a loving and involved grandfather and spent as much time as he could with them and attending their sporting events and other activities.
SURVIVORS
Wife, Gloria; 2 daughters, Angela (Chad) Cook of Muskegon, Laura (Dan) Bowyer of Whitehall; grandchildren, Emily Cook, Ian Cook, Anna Bowyer; brother David Bergren of Fruitport; sister, Susan Turkstra of Grand Rapids; and his cat, Blackie. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jane.
SERVICE
Friday, July 8, 2022, 11:00 AM at Rothbury Community Church with Pastor James Enns and Pastor Bryan Wolff officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
