Kyle Ray Watson, 62, beloved husband, father and son went to be with the Lord Friday M ay 21, 2021.
Kyle was born March 18, 1959, In Fort Stockton, TX to Mary Anne (Pruitt) Watson and Ector Ray (E. R.) Watson, Jr. He graduated from Fort Stockton High School In 1977. His high school activities Included playing drums in the band, running track and he excelled in basketball, his favorite sport. He attended Texas A&M University and completed his civil engineering degree in 1983. After working for five years
at Tetco Engineering Co. in Odessa, TX, he received his certificate of registration as a Professional
Engineer.
One year before graduating from Texas A&M, Kyle married his high school sweetheart Julie (Johnson) Watson on August 14, 1982, and they raised two wonderful daughters. Their journey together began In Odessa, TX for sixteen years, then Houston, TX for ten years, La Place, IA for seven years and the last four years in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX. During those years he worked for several companies including Kelley Coppedge, SMB Engineering, Ref-chem and Fishbone Solutions. The last twelve years he worked for Valero as the Director of Major Projects at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, TX. He retired after 37 years from the career he enjoyed.
As a professional planner, one of his great loves in his personal life was to plan the ultimate vacation and travel with his wife and family. He had a passion for running and completed a life-long goal of finishing a
26.2 mile full marathon and a 13.1 mile half marathon. He didn't stop there and completed the Rouge? Orleans, a 126.2 mile team relay race from Baton Rouge to New Orleans, Louisiana. His favorite past times included watching movies, with Sci-Fi as his favorite genre, working on puzzles and playing games with friends and family. He was a great handy-man and used his knowledge to complete many projects he dreamed up around their home including their backyard oasis where many loved to relax and enjoy. He was a faithful Christian throughout his life, most recently serving as Deacon at the Boerne Church of
Christ. His love of the Lord and musical talent led him to his favorite way to serve as a song leader leading the congregation in worship.
Kyle's father, Ector Ray (E.R.) Watson, Jr preceded him in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Julie and his two daughters, Cassie Burch of Dallas, TX and Candice Ramirez of Brenham, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Boerne Church of Christ.
