A Funeral Service for Kyle Morrison, age 73 of Tyler, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home.
Kyle passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born October 28, 1950, in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Dr. Sidney Bergen and Beverly (Wray) Morrison. Kyle has lived and practiced in many places including Waco, Jefferson, Wichita Falls, Lindale, and Tyler, Texas. He was a member of Flint Baptist Church in Tyler since 2022 and previously was member of Green Acres Baptist Church for 39 years. He enjoyed reading, vacationing in Colorado at the YMCA of the Rockies, shooting skeet, classic cars and was a master level bridge player. Kyle was involved in many organizations including the Corvette Club in Tyler, Tyler Lions Club, and The Texas and Smith County Bar Associations. He graduated from Richfield high school in Waco, Texas in 1969. Kyle graduated in 1973 with a degree in Political Science and in 1976 a Juris Doctorate from Baylor University.
Kyle is survived by wife of 51 3/4 years, Jane Ann Morrison of Lindale; sons, John and wife, Ashley Morrison of Tyler, Matthew Morrison and wife, Hong Zhu of Charlottesville, Virginia; sisters, Catherine Sawyer and Elaine Sauber; granddaughters, Avery and Tatum Morrison; grandson, Mark Morrison
Memorials may be made to Flint Baptist church building fund, Samaritan's purse, or the Salvation Army.
