Kurt Erik Hammerschmidt, 50, passed away on July 10, 2022. Kurt was born in Attleboro and was the son of Barbara M. (Knoob) Hammerschmidt and the late Kenneth E. Hammerschmidt.Kurt was a graduate of Attleboro High School and was a die hard Star Wars enthusiast and science fiction fan. Kurt was always a social man who took the time to enjoy the simple things that life had to offer.Surviving in addition to his mother are his siblings, Linda Shaw and her husband John of FL and Brenda Reid of Pawtucket; nieces and nephews, Brian and Derek Bishop, Nicole Lipinsky, Joseph Nolin, Jr and Braden Reid and five great nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 12-3pm in the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro.
