A much-loved husband, son and brother, Kris Gilmartin, 40, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018. Kris is survived by his parents, MaryAnn and Jerry Gilmartin; wife, Masumi Gilmartin and their three beautiful, baby furbutts, Twizz, Paisley, and Space Pirate Captain Harlock; sister Robin Gilmartin-Poloso, brother Tim Gilmartin, and two nephews and two nieces. Kris was a witty and loyal individual who loved animation, baseball, trivia, nature, and who was passionate about fountain pens, telling silly puns, and animals especially ferrets. He was an active and dedicated member of Fountain Pen Fans of Atlanta and Virtual Pen Posse on Facebook as well Pen Swap on Reddit. A viewing and celebration is scheduled for Thursday, July 26, 2018 at A. S. Turner and Sons from 6 pm-8pm. A mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St. Thomas More in Decatur, with a reception to follow. Father Mark will officiate the ceremony.
