Kristin Jean Mullen, 47, born on November 3, 1976, in Sidney, Montana, passed away on August 11, 2024 in East Helena, from pancreatic cancer. Kristin passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family.
Kristin graduated from Jefferson High School in 1995 and the University of Montana in 2000. She worked at Lewis and Clark County Library in Helena, MT. Kristin enjoyed lifelong learning, and she was prepared to enter graduate school. She loved 'All Things," Alice and Wonderland," concerts, playing the ukulele and loving her animals, especially her chicken, Grizzil, her cats BoBo and CJ, and her dog Burro. She was known as a loyal friend. Kristin reconnected last summer with Jeff Hopper, her partner.
Kristin is preceded in death by her brother John Mullen.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Stephanine (Munson) Mullen; brother Robin Mullen; sister-in-law Alison (Blair) Mullen; a niece Nora Mullen; two nephews, Lachlan and Blake Mullen; partner Jeff Hopper; her aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N Montana Ave., Helena, MT 59602 on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11am. A graveside service will take place at Forestvale Cemetery, 490 Forestvale Rd., Helena, MT 59602 following the memorial service. A reception will be held back at the funeral home at the conclusion of the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Kristin can be made to the Lewis and Clark Library Foundation for the New Bookmobile Campaign, lclibrary.org.
