Kimberly Jane (Knittel) Swiggett June 26, 1954 - May 21, 2022 Bedford, Texas - Kimberly Jane (Knittel) Swiggett was born on June 26, 1954 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Sara Ann (Eynon) and David Lee Knittel. She passed away on May 21, 2022 at home in Bedford, Texas surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of David Lee Knittel and Sara Anne Eynon Knittel. After graduating from Clay High School in 1972, she attended Paramount Beauty School and worked in the beauty shop at Marting's. After living in Indiana for several years she moved to California and worked in property management. While living in California she was on vacation in Florida and met and fell in love with Vernon Swiggett, who lived in Texas. After a long-distance courtship, they were married on 1/1/91, and moved to Bedford, Texas, where they lived together for 31 years. Kim had impeccable managerial skills which she used overseeing Harris Properties in Arlington, Texas. She enjoyed educating business students at ATI Career Training Center in Ft. Worth, Texas. Kim was passionate about decorating and could make anything look good. She loved making floral arrangements, wreaths, and special orders for Apple Annie's Gift Shop in Hurst. Kim's heart was as big as Texas. She took in and cared for animals and people and worked with the Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County. She was skillful and successful at all positions she had in her careers. She was a beautiful lady that kept a great attitude towards life and high spirits throughout her illnesses. Kim was a member of Compass Christian Church in Colleyville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Holly Ann Chapman. Kim is survived by her beloved husband of over 30 years, Vernon Swiggett of Bedford; adoring children, Heather Isbell and husband, Joseph of Bedford, Emily Patton and husband, Rick of Enid, Oklahoma, and Scott Swiggett and wife, Julia of Edmond, Oklahoma; precious grandchildren, Michael, Heather, Dustin, Riley, Bryce, Breck, and Kyson; she is also survived by her sisters, LeAnne Allen and husband, Steve of Lucasville, Ohio and Julie Bauhof and husband, Bernie of Englewood, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends. A service to celebrate Kim's life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Dalmore Event Venue located at 4301 Fossil Creek Blvd, Fort Worth, Texas 76137.
