Kimberly A. Plank, 53, of Palmyra, PA., passed away peacefully on March 31, 2021 in the comfort of her own home. She was preceded in death by grandparents Kenneth and Evelyn Skobba, Harold and Florence Plank; aunt Karin Skobba Sterkenburg and her step father Dr. Bobby Jones and her precious fur baby Hazel. Kimberly lived a cherished and fulfilled life. She was best known as a chocolatier in the entertainment industry. Her many edible works of art had been featured in magazines such as Martha Stewart. Her attention to detail and love for her art won over the hearts of many people. Event planners from across the country contacted her for her delicate skills to create works of art for their weddings, birthdays, and other events. Kimberly touched the lives of everyone that had the honor of meeting her. Kimberly attended fashion school and had an impeccable eye for style. Gardening, canning, cooking, and shopping for vintage decorating accessories gave her much pleasure. Kimberly is survived by her mother Sharon (Skobba) Jones and father Douglas Plank; sisters Heather (David) Plank, Meredith (Aaron) Garrison, McKenzie (Galen) Jones, Gena (Russ) Johnson, Jane (Katelyn) Plank, uncle Daryl (Kathleen) Skobba, aunt Mary Kay Plank, beloved nieces Josie, Beatrix, nephews Adam, Felix, Arlo, Reese and Leif, as well as extended family members and friends. After decades of enduring serious health issues, including kidney, heart disease, two different cancers, dialysis, constant transfusions, two kidney and pancreas transplants, she did not complain; she maintained her wry sense of humor, smile, and her faith in God. Kimberly is free at last and was blessed to see Jesus' face to face. The family would like to say thank you to Hematologists Dr. Mi, Dr. Rao, Cardiologists Dr. Jaluria, Dr. Mumtaz, surgeons Dr. Jack Wilson, Dr. Harold Yang, and a special thank you to Nephrologist Dr. Jonathan Diamond who cared for Kim for 29 years. The hundreds of nurses deserve special thanks, especially the nurses at the Harrisburg Osteo Pinnacle infusion center for their devoted friendship, love and care for Kim. Donations in Kim's honor may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania. Due to covid and current public health concerns, the family will determine a future memorial service, and inurnment at Lake Crystal, Minnesota.
