RIPLEY - RIPLEY - On Friday evening, October 14, 2022, Kim Akins Farr, 59, resident of Ripley, departed this life in the comfort of her home.
A Memorial Service remembering the life of Mrs. Farr will be at 2 PM Monday, October 17 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM Monday, October 17 at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Farr was born June 8, 1963 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of the late Lavaughn and Ruth Crum Akins. She was a graduate of Ripley High School, continued her education at Northeast Mississippi Community College and was a homemaker throughout her life.
A member of Christ United Methodist Church, Mrs. Farr will be remembered for her many interests that included, watching cooking shows, biographies and documentaries on television. She also enjoyed listening to music, scrapebooking, crafting and reading mystery novels. The love she had for her children was unending and was blessed to be "Nana" to her much adored grandchildren. "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." -Revelation 21:4
Memories will continue to be cherished by her daughter, Dawn Ellis Shea (Timothy) of Corinth, a son, Blake Farr of Ripley, a brother, Ned Akins (Trisha) of Somerville, TN, five grandchildren, Gage Goodson (Summer), Hayden, Parker, Jaxon and Daiya Shea and two great grandchildren, Branson Armstrong and Willow Goodson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marty Farr.
