Kevin Borden Shea Sr., 63, of Somersworth, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2024. Born on April 24, 1961, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the sixth child of the late Herbert James Shea and Evelyn Earla Shea (Pratt).
Kevin spent his early years in Watertown, Massachusetts, before moving to the farm in Epping at the age of seven. He began his professional journey at Nike and later dedicated nearly two decades to Country Woods Unfinished Furniture from 1988 to 2006. Most recently, he was employed at KFC, where he cherished the friendships he formed with his colleagues.
A talented woodworker and an exceptional ice hockey player, Kevin had a passion for sports and the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and proudly displayed his trophies from his adventures. Kevin took great pride in his home and was known for having the most beautiful hostas on Lincoln Drive. He was known as a strong-willed Irishman, he approached life with a spirited determination and a heart full of love.
In 1984, Kevin married his high school sweetheart, and together they raised three beautiful children: Brandi Ledoux and her husband Todd of Raymond, NH; Sara Geno and her husband Rick of Raymond, NH; and Kevin Shea Jr. and his fianc?e April Kelly of Ridgway, PA. He was a proud papa to his 6 grandchildren Kevin, Gabrielle, Madeleine, Lexi, Freddy, and Alivia. Kevin loved sharing their achievements and photos with everyone around him.
As the second-born son and the sixth of eight children, Kevin is survived by his beloved siblings: Herb Shea of Billerica, MA, Darlene Gallagher of Watertown, MA, Joanne Hebert of Billerica, MA, Evelyn Power of Wells, ME, Grace Lavoie of Epping, NH, Wayne Shea of Billerica, MA and Shawn Shea of Nottingham, NH. He also leaves behind 16 nieces and nephews, including his nephew Herb Shea of Chelmsford, MA with whom he shared a special bond, along with many cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
Kevin will be remembered for his generous spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 27th, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond, NH, followed by a service at 12 PM at the funeral home.
