Kevin James Perrinjaquet, 73, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Kevin was born on July 17, 1951, the son of Gerald and Marjorie (Knickerbocker) Perrinjaquet. After graduating from Edgewood-Colesburg High School in 1969, Kevin attended Wartburg College, where he earned a business degree in 1973. Upon graduation, he returned to Edgewood to become the third generation in the family business: The Edgewood Feed Mill.
An active leader in the Edgewood community, Kevin served as a board member of the Edgewood Community Savings Bank, as well as the Edgewood Convalescent Home, where he served as president for many years. His parting contribution was participating in a clinical trial for cancer treatments. The extensive knowledge the medical community gained by his participation will help give others both hope and an improved chance for survival.
In 1979, Kevin married Margaret Sears in Dysart, Iowa. Together, throughout their 45-year marriage, they raised four children: Jerod (Melissa) Perrinjaquet, Jordan (Jenni) Perrinjaquet, and Cade (Gina) Perrinjaquet all of Edgewood, and Andrea (Steve) Paris of Strawberry Point. There is now a fourth generation guiding the Edgewood Feed Mill. His greatest source of joy was being the father and role model to his four children and eleven grandchildren. If one ever wanted to experience what true love is like in action, one needed to look no further than Kevin, Margaret, and family.
Along with his beloved wife and children, Kevin is survived by his eleven grandchildren, Mack, Wesley, Zeke, Bennett, Huck, Emma, Mesa, Beau, Adalyn, Easton, and Eddie; his mother, Marjorie Perrinjaquet of Edgewood; brother, Craig Perrinjaquet of Breckenridge, Colorado; sister, Karen (Peter) Huston of Galena, Illinois; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Myron) Jack of Victor; brother-in-law, Kevin Sears of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by friends too numerous to list, but deeply loved, nonetheless.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Gerald; as well as grandparents, Louie and Glennie Perrinjaquet of Edgewood and Floyd and Verna Knickerbocker of Manchester.
Though sad for their loss, the family celebrates sharing Kevin's life well lived, the gift of his humor, laughter, and the comfort of his new life at home with the Lord. For those who have a void left from Kevin's passing, may that void be filled with God's love.
