Kevin R. Haught 67, of Oberlin passed away at home on Monday May 30, 2022. He was born July 14, 1954 in Elyria. Kevin was a 1972 Elyria High School graduate. He had worked as a tooling engineer at General Industries, and was a corrections officer at Grafton Prison. Kevin loved spending time with his family and his dog; Abby. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and woodworking. Survivors include two daughters; Brooke M. Edgell (Brandon) of Grafton, Kristin A. Ott (Mike Chabek) of Columbia Station, three grandchildren; Lucas, Logan, and Kaylee. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; Junior Russell and Nelda (nee: Gain) Haught, and a sister; Annetta Baumiller. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday June 2, 2022 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where a Celebration Of Kevin’s life will be at 7:00 PM immediately following visitation. Pastor Dan Reinke will officiate. Burial will be private. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Kevin’s memory be sent to The American Lung Association 10501 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106 or to The Prostate Cancer Foundation 1250 4th St, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
