Kevin Paul Hatfield, 40, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, near his home in Water Valley. The memorial service celebrating Kevin's life will be held privately on Wednesday, September 07, 2022.
Kevin was born on February 02, 1982, in Oxford as a son of Wayne Richard Hatfield and Norma Langham Blanton. He was best described as a good man that found joy in the presence of his family and friends. During his younger years, he loved traveling and checking out new places. When he found leisure time and the weather was right, he would take the occasional trip down to the nearest fishing hole to bait a hook and cast a line.
Aside from his love for family fishing, and travel, Kevin had a passion for technology, especially for computers and writing programs. In fact, he was skilled enough to own and operate a successful information technology business. However, the value of the company he built was soon recognized and he ultimately decided to sell out his stake and take home a substantial profit. Not only was he a successful businessman, but he was also a licensed pilot that had a passion for flying. He was afforded the opportunity to sight see from a birds eye view. While computers and planes might have been life to Kevin, he could not have gone through the mountain tops and valleys of experience without knowing his faithful dog and companion Champ. Although Kevin has departed from our lives, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
The loved ones he leaves behind to continue walking down the path life include; son, Gavin Hatfield of Oxford; daughter, Carly Hatfield of Oxford; father, Wayne Richard Hatfield of Water Valley; mother, Norma Blanton of Oxford; paternal grandmother, Eleanor Hodges of Water Valley; host of extended cousins.
Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Hatfield.
The staff at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is honored to serve the Hatfield family as they walk through this season of life. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
