Kenny Sproul, 66, of Lee County, died Thursday, August 11, 2022.
His funeral service will be at 10 AM on Monday, August 15, 2022 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Levreault will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday at Kimbrell-Stern from 3-5 PM.
Kenny was born in Jacksonville, NC where his father was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune. Kenny and his family moved to Albany in 1965. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He attended schools in Albany. Kenny never met a stranger, he loved everyone, and always had positive attitude. He loved playing bingo, meeting his friends at Burger King, and listening to "old school" country music. Kenny was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and SEC football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph D. Sproul and Bertha Z. Sproul, and a great nephew, Mac Adkins.
Kenny is survived by his 2 brothers: Sheriff Kevin R. Sproul (Vicki), Albany, Keith Sproul, Lee County; a sister: Karen S. Bush, Lee County; nieces and nephews: Matthew K. Sproul (Nicole), Amber D. Sproul (Kevin Griffin), Breanne S. Martin (Brock), Jacob R. Sproul (Sydney), Sydney B. Adkins (Stephen), and Summer Bush; great nieces and nephew: Kylee Sproul, Kennedy Sproul, Haley Martin, Asher Adkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus, C/O St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 421 Edgewood Ln., Albany, GA 31707.
