Kenneth "Red" Vance of Olive Branch, MS passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 24, 2025, surrounded by his family. Friends and family are invited to a visitation at First Baptist Church of Olive Branch on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jerrod Brooks and Bro. Kevin Tribble will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth was born on September, 12, 193 in Grenada, MS. He was preceded in death by Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Grimpton McAnally of Duck Hill, MS and Mr. and Mrs. Houstan Vance of Carroll County, MS.
Kenneth leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Amy Sultan Vance, his two daughters, Katelyn Vance (Tristian Hanna) and Presley Vance of Olive Branch, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kenneth attended Grenada Lake Academy, then Kirk Academy, where he graduated in 1981. Following graduation, he went on to pursue a BBA in Computer Science from Mississippi State University. His love for MSU was something he would hold close to his heart. He also loved the Steelers, Tar Heels, and the Cincinnati Reds.
After graduation, Kenneth was hired by Sunburst Bank in Grenada, then Bank of Mississippi in Tupeloa, MS. In 1998, he went to work for International Paper in Memphis, TN, where he was a programming analyst. He would spend the rest of his career there.
Kenneth was a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and Deacon. He was a devoted child of God, faithful husband, and loving father. He was loved by many and a friend to everyone he met.
Pallbearers include: Bill Rogers, Charanjit Marwah, Jay Mann, Charles Carroll, Michael Bonner, Steven Cox, Mike Thompson, Mark Thomas, Monte Jordan, Mike McCoy, and Darren Browning.
