Kenneth D.Seyffert, 94, passed away in Amarillo, TX on October 25, 2021. Kenneth was born in Corsacana, TX on September 12, 1927. After attending the University of Texas for one year he moved to Amarillo, TX. He was Office Manager for ICX Motor Freight for forty-one years. Kenneth was a self-educated man. His main interests in life were literature, arts, music and ornithology. He amassed an extensive book and phonograph record collection. He began the study of birds in the early 1960's. As one of Kenneth's best friends wrote "He was a naturalist of extraordinary skill and his meticulous record keeping would have been the envy of Darwin himself". In 2001 Kenneth's book "Birds of the Texas Panhandle" was published by the Texas A&M Press. Kenneth is survived by his sister, Mary J. Pipes, of Amarillo and his nephew, William D. Pipes, of Crozier, VA.
