Kenneth W. "Kenny" Ryan, 37, of Dwight Cross Rd., died Saturday April 10, 2021.
Kenny was born in Greenfield on August 15, 1983 the only son of Alexander and Joan (Lundrigan) Ryan. He grew up in Colrain and was a graduate of Franklin County Technical School in 2002.
Kenny was a talented "Jack of all trades". From pouring concrete for Hill Street Concrete to making pallets for Slowinski Pallets there wasn't a job that he couldn't do. Anything that he was asked to do, he found a way to get the job done and done well.
Kenny enjoyed maple sugaring and looked forward to the season every year. He worked with his father Alex, and uncles Frances and Russell, to create the sweet product each year. If there was a leak in the tap line somewhere, Kenny would always find it and repair it. The hard work and long hours were worth it.
Kenny was a very likeable, friendly, upbeat kind of guy that people just liked being around.
He will be greatly missed by his family; parents Alexander and Joan Ryan of Colrain, sister Jennifer Grantor of Nova Scotia, his girlfriend Regina "Bell" Cook of Colrain, aunts; Marilyn Johnson of Ashfield, Joy Coates of Charlemont, Shirley Cordero of AZ, Madge Boysen of FL, Cora Stone, Lorraine Lundrigan and Millie Rogers all of Canada, Bonnie Lundrigan of Northampton, uncles Robert Ryan of New Haven, CT, Frances (Kathleen) Ryan, Eva (Scott) Archambo, Russell and William Ryan all of Colrain, and many cousins.
A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 14, at 1:00 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls. Burial services will follow in West Branch Cemetery in Colrain.
There are no calling hours.
