PARISHVILLE - Kenneth D. Emlin, 29, of Picketville Road, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 9, 2019 at Upstate University Hospital after a brief illness.
Kenneth was born September 13, 1990 in Rome, New York the son of Daniel and Patricia (Smith) Emlin. He was raised in Rome and graduated from Rome Free Academy in 2009. Kenneth had many accomplishments in his short life - heavy equipment operator, obtaining his CDL, and his greatest accomplishment - putting himself before others. Since an early age, he has been a volunteer fireman with the Westmoreland Fire Department, most recently achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He enjoyed the outdoors - hunting, fishing, and camping were his favorite activities, which he started at a young age with his late grandfather, Arnold Emlin.
Kenneth is survived by his grandmother, Belva Emlin; his father, Daniel Emlin and his wife, Joan; his mother, Patricia Morris and her husband, Marty Morris Sr.; his brothers, Randy Emlin and his wife, Kathy; Brian Morris and his wife, Heather; Marty Morris, Jr.; Stephen Russell and Becka Russell; his favorite nephew, Riley Emlin; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and friends including his most precious friend, Magan.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 PM at the Parishville Fire Department Fireman's Hall, Rutman Road, Parishville.
In lieu of flowers those wishing may consider donations in his memory to a local Fire Department of your choice.
