Kenneth Paul Brown was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on October 27, 1949 to James William Brown and Nancy Elizabeth Maples. Ken married his bride, Pamela Renea Price on September 3, 1968. Ken served in the United States Army with the 362nd Engineer Company in Vietnam. Ken was a proud Veteran. After the Army, Ken worked for many years at Western Auto and retired from Tech Coat, Inc. eight years ago. Ken was a proud founding member of Providence Church in Claxton.
Ken loved his family, black coffee, a good bargain, flowers, old cars, animals, his VA group brothers, and all things involving dirt and grease.
Ken never met a stranger and was known for his one-of-a-kind laugh, hugs, witty jokes, willingness to help others, and always being on the go.
Ken is survived by his wife Pam; daughter April Rainey (Mark); son Nicholas (Courtnee); beautiful granddaughters, Ava and Adalee; brothers Jimmy (Margaret), Wayne (Lisa), Johnny (Carol); sister Cathy (Tommy Gilliland), his dear friend, Dewayne; his cat, Leonard; and countless friends and family members.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a funeral service to follow officiated by Pastor David Simpson at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Burial will occur at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Pallbearers will be Christopher Conner, Shane Conner, Barry Price, Dewayne Bradley, Leo Stinnett, and Bill Richards.
