husband of Debbie Bailey, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at UK Hospital on January 5, 2021. He was born to the late Sherman & Lucille Bailey in Lexington, KY on January 7, 1956 and was raised in the Baptist Faith.
He was employed at Exhaust Pro for 34 years as a mechanic and Shop Manager at the Boston Road location. He was a US Army Veteran. His interests included watching football games, especially the Steelers & UK, but wasn't particular about who was playing. He enjoyed working on vehicles, riding motorcycles and fishing. But most importantly was his devotion to his family, especially the time spent with Shelby and Levi.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, survivors include daughter Katlyn and Scott Newby and their children Mystic, Josh, Shelby and Levi; daughter Kari Bailey and Casi Blevins; daughter Adrena and Josh James and their children Desmond, Kenzie and Everlee. Kenneth is also survived by sisters Sharon McManis, Linda Mulligan & Barbara Powell, brothers Hank Dunn & Rusty Dunn, Mother-in-law Jewell Smith and sister & brother in law Terry & David Aldridge and brother and sister-in-law Jimmy & Lisa Smith. Kenneth was also blessed with his best friend and brother Michael (Greasy) Radcliff.
He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Doris Eubank & Shirley Stotz, niece November Durst and grandson Marcus Newby.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 16th from 3-5 pm with service following at Heritage Baptist Church located at 163 N. Ashland Ave. in Lexington. Burial will be held at a later date for the family. Masks are encouraged and pews are socially distanced per CDC guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations which will be used for Veterans Services, including Homeless Veterans Support. Checks can be made out to Heritage Baptist Church, placing Kenneth Bailey's name on the memo line. The family is honored that Kenneth made the decision in 2014 to become an organ donor.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and Physicians on Staff in the ICU Trauma Department at UK Hospital for their compassionate care of Kenny and his family during his stay.
