Kenneth L. Amon, 91, of Elkhorn, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at his home.
Born in the family home in Bowers Corners, Wisconsin, he was the son of Bernard and Amanda (nee Albrecht) Amon. He was a lifelong resident of the Elkhorn area. On April 15, 1950 in Elkhorn, he was united in marriage to Bernice May Smith. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2021.
Ken owned and operated Amon & Sons and was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Burlington and the Doris Reinke Resource Center in Elkhorn. He was known for his love of Walworth County history and railroads of the area.
Ken is survived by his children, Michael Amon and Jolyne (Mark) Heinen; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister Pricilla Schmall. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Bonny.
The family would like to thank Home Helpers in Burlington for their care and compassion during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Doris Reincke Resource Center.
A Celebration of Life honoring Ken and Bonny will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11AM until 2PM at Sperino's Monte Carlo Room with light refreshments being served, 720 N. Wisconsin St. in Elkhorn.
