Kenneth A. "Kenny" Buther, 81, a resident of Ashland, passed away Sunday morning, November 6, 2022 in the comfort of his home.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Kenny will be at 1 PM, Tuesday, November 8 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Minister King McCarver officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Hill Cemetery in Benton County.
Kenny was born April 16, 1941 in Corinth, MS, the son of the late Kenneth C. and Mattie Braddock Butler. He was a graduate of Falkner High School and proudly served his country in the Mississippi National Guard and the Tennessee National Guard.
Kenny was employed with Ford Motor Co. in Huron, Ohio, Time-DC Truck Line in Memphis, TN and Gay Truck Line in Falkner, MS until his retirement.
A member of Beech Hill Church of Christ in Benton County, Kenny enjoyed being with his family, friends and found joy of living life on a small farm.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday, November 8 at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Simpson Butler, one son, Jeffrey A. Butler (Beverly) of Iuka, two daughters, Vicki Butler Gaillard of Ashland and Carole Ann Butler Sewell (Jim) of Pontotoc, four grandchildren, Jake Butler (Breann) pf Ashland, Regan Gaillard Rutledge (Will), Mattie Butler Clemmons (Josh), both of Memphis, and Parker Sewell of Pontotoc, three great grandchildren, Emma K. Butler, Eden T. Butler, both of Ashland and Ruby R. Rutledge of Memphis, one brother, John C. Bulter of Ripley and a host on nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenny was also preceded in death a son in law, Ray Gaillard, four sisters in law, Linda Butler, Rosie Drewery, Patty McClusky and Billie Simpson, three brothers in law, Bob Simpson, Kelly Drewery and Gene McClusky and a niece, Tracy Butler.
