Kendall J.H. Wong died peacefully at home on April 1, 2023, after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Kenneth and Helen Wong. He is survived by his wife, Sandi; stepson Jesse Victor, grandson Miles Victor; brother Kevin (Cathy) Wong.
Kendall retired from First Hawaiian Bank as Senior Vice President and Area Manager in 2019. He started at First Hawaiian Creditcorp in 1992, and worked his way up through various positions, as branch manager at Kaneohe Bay, then Kaneohe while serving as area manager for the Windward region, before moving to the Kalihi branch as the area manager for the Kalihi region.
He was an avid fisherman, and one of the founding members of Pacific Islands Fisheries Group, established in 2005 to keep Pacific Island fishermen engaged and informed on the management and conservation of fishery resources in the Pacific.
A celebration of life will be held at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary, 2233 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Visitation at 10:00 a.m; Services at 11:30 a.m.
