Kelvin Stanley Riddle, Sr., "Big Kel" "Big Daddy", 64, passed on the morning of April 5, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long battle with illness.
Born in Meriden on March 5, 1958, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Annie Ruth Riddle. He was a lifelong Meriden resident and attended Maloney High School. Kelvin was employed by Times Microwave for 25 years as an extruder operator.
He was a beloved father, uncle, brother and grandfather who enjoyed bowling, loved playing basketball and having a good laugh with his friends and family.
Kelvin is survived by his three sons, Kelvin S. Riddle, Jr., and his wife Stacy, Marcus Riddle and his girlfriend Carrie, and Tyrone Rainey; his four grandchildren, Kaelen Riddle, Kacie Riddle, Alex Riddle and Marina Riddle; his sisters, Sharon Riddle, Natalie "Nat" Riddle and Paula Riddle; his brothers, Ernest "Big Ern" Riddle and his wife Eileen, Larry Riddle, Allan "Rev" Riddle, and Alonzo "Butch" Riddle and his wife Barbara; and his former wife, Ellen Washington, whom he was married to for 25 years. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Daniel, Phil, Shelia, Eric, Vanessa, Melissa, "little" Sharon, Jamel and Darius, as well as his lifelong friends, Norman Warner and family, Carmelo "Mello" Ortiz, Dave Dempster and many other friends throughout the years. He was predeceased by his longtime girlfriend Sharon Knight.
