Kelly Mahowski, 29, died unexpectedly on February 1, 2021, at her residence, after a long struggle with mental illness and addiction. She was born on January 9, 1992, in Seminole, the daughter of Thomas and Jan Bronson Mahowski.
Kelly graduated from Seminole High School in 2010, and from the University of South Florida with a double major in English and the Classics. Kelly was an artistic and talented woman who loved language, music, movies, and classic literature, who played the saxophone, banjo and wrote poetry. She fearlessly traveled the world.
Kelly was predeceased by her loving grandparents, Edward and Deanie Mahowski, and Robertand Vera Bronson; and her soulmate Chase Atari. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are hersister, Katie Mahowski Mylroie, Katie's husband Robert, and their children, Kelly's belovedniece and nephew, Vera and Oliver Mylroie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who mourn her loss and will greatly miss her wry observations and subtle humor.
Mass will be held at noon, Thursday, February 11 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 11565 66th Ave N, Seminole. A reception will immediately follow at Walsingham County Park, Shelter 7 and 8, 12615 102 nd Avenue, Largo.
