It is with tremendous sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the untimely and sudden passing of Keith M. Monyahan, of Pittsfield, on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Born in Alexandria, Virginia on December 6, 1969, the son of Joan McMillan and her husband Paul, and the late Richard A. Monyahan, he graduated from Taconic High School in 1987 and later attended courses at Berkshire Community College.
Keith was employed throughout Berkshire County and New York State, where he dedicated several decades working as a tattoo artist. He also was extremely talented in air bushing, painting, art design and photography. His passion for his numerous crafts was conveyed through each masterpiece.
Among many things, Keith enjoyed camping, cooking, music and strumming on one of his many guitars. His infectious laugh and witty humor will be sorely missed. He had such a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Above all, Keith cherished his family and friends. He will be missed deeply by all that knew him.
Besides his mother, Keith is survived by his children, Jonathan Monyahan (Edan) and Jennifer Monyahan (Anthony) as well as his siblings, Rick Monyahan (Ana) and Sherry Ciliberti (Joseph), his granddaughter Amira Monyahan, his niece Becky and his nephews Mikey and Nikita. He was predeceased by his father, Richard A. Monyahan. Keith touched the lives of countless people and will forever be missed.
Funeral Notice:
Funeral services for Keith M. Monyahan will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 3 p.m. at the Unity Terrace at the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. Calling hours at the funeral home will be prior to the service, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.. To best ensure everybody's health, due to the recent rise in Covid cases, all who attend these services will be required to wear face masks. In lieu of flowers, donations in Keith's memory can be made directly to the Dwyer Funeral Home to help offset funeral costs for his family.
