Keith C. "Casey" Warner, 93, lifetime Randolph-Braintree resident died late Sunday night, May 15, 2022, at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH.
He was born January 15, 1929, in Randolph, VT; the son of Fred & Luella (Cole) Warner. In 1935, the family moved to Fish Hill in Randolph Center. He attended school in Randolph Center, and graduated from Randolph High School in 1947 and Vermont School of Agriculture (Vermont Technical College) in 1948. In 1950 He joined the army and stayed in the Army and National Guard for 33 years, retiring in 1983.
His working life included working farms in Randolph and Randolph Center. He drove tractor trailer truck for a year, worked for Gordon Scribner as an electrician for 13 years, and worked at Waterbury Plastics for 24 years, retiring in 1992. Casey was known for the infamous "cane wave" on Beanville Road. When he would go for his daily walks, he would raise his cane in the air to acknowledge and make a friendly gesture to those driving along the route.
In 1953, he married Ruth Parker and they had four children, Ronald, Teresa, Debra, and Wayne. In 1981 he made his home with Joyce Preston, and they were married in 2004; she passed away in 2006.
At his 60th class reunion he met a classmate, Altha Fraser, they married in 2008, she passed away in 2018.
He is survived by his children, Ron and his wife Edie, Teresa and her husband Gary Bradley, Debra Warner, and Wayne and his wife Karen Warner. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; 1 stepson, Philip Lackey and wife Marie; stepdaughter, Donna Brownell; niece, Phyllis Roberts; nephews, Philip, and Duane Webster along with many more nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille, and Paul Webster; stepsons Richard Lackey and David Paul; nephew, Neil Webster; his first wife Ruth and two great-grandsons; William and Joshua Warner Jr.
There will be calling hours followed by a Graveside Memorial Service for Casey. Calling hours will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. with the graveside service at 2:30 P.M. at Mountain View Cemetery in West Braintree. There will be a reception to follow at the Randolph Village Fire Department. Contributions in Casey's name can be made to the Randolph Senior Center "Meals on Wheels".
