Following her education at Columbia University in NY and nursing school in Nashville, TN, Kay proudly served in the U. S. Air Force as a nurse, earning the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She was very patriotic and loved her country. Upon retirement from the Air Force, she continued her nursing career and became a Nurse Practitioner at All Childrens Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl. She was a mentor, traveled on a mission to Haiti, worked at animal shelters and helped anyone she could.
