Kathryn “Dyan” Hunnicutt, age 54 of Laingsburg passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 22, 2022. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a friend and family celebration of life will be held at a future date.
Dyan was born June 8, 1967, in Culver City, California to Kathryn McNaughton and Elmer Walton. She relocated with her mom to Wolverine Michigan at a young age. She completed her education in Wolverine, Michigan. Dyan met Fred Hunnicutt in 2000 through mutual friends and blended their families on August 27, 2005, in Laingsburg, Michigan. Dyan loved gardening; especially caring for her orchids and bird watching. She was employed at Lansing Police Department as a secretary for the Special Operations Division, which she enjoyed. She was known for her friendly demeanor, her smile and enjoyment of life and all it had to offer.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend; Fred, her son; Dylan Iansiti, her stepchildren; Jesse Hunnicutt, Hannah Hunnicutt and Sam (Aspen) Hunnicutt, her father; Louie Smith, her sister; Tanya (Steve) Watts, her grandmother; Gwen Smith, several nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members and numerous friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her mother; Kathryn.
