Kathryn "Beenie" Evena Lallas Fredericksen of Ashton, passed away January 21, 2022, at home with her family.
She was born January 15, 1941, in Pocatello, Idaho to Peter Michael Lallas and Lucile Eloda Marshall Lallas. She was the youngest of six children.
When she was four years old her mother passed away. Her greatest camaraderie in youth was with her big brother David.
She attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School.
She met the love of her life, Randall Fredericksen, on a blind date in Dillon, Montana. They were married in Ashton on July 29, 1960. Three daughters were born to this union.
Their first home was a little trailer in Lamont at the Fredericksen's ranch. They moved for a short time to Olympia, Washington while Randall was in the National Guard. They moved back to Lamont for a year until they built their home in Marysville.
Kathryn raised a garden and loved flowers, especially tall marigolds. They raised cows and chickens. She helped fix fence and drove grain trucks in the fall to the Lamont Elevator. When her daughters got older she worked in the potatoes in the spring, sorting and cutting them.
Kathryn loved genealogy, watching movies, and putting puzzles together. She got great enjoyment feeding the birds and watching the hummingbirds in the summer. She loved taking pictures and entering them in the Fremont County Fair.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family and going out to Arcadia Lake with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Randall, and three daughters Pam (Bill) Davis of St. Anthony, Sandra (Bill) Moncur of Arco, Brenda (Blaine) Briggs of St. Anthony; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren with two on the way; four step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Leon, Norma, Matena, Beryl, and David.
Mom, we love you very much!
