On July 25, 2021, Kathleen M. Stout, 64, passed away peacefully at home.
Kathy was born on November 18, 1956 in Akron, OH to Marilyn and Dr. Howard W. Bangs. Her ready smile, amiable nature, generous spirit and capacity for fun were hallmarks her entire life.
Her creative talents ran deep, especially in gardening and entertaining. Kathy twice welcomed the community for tours of her gorgeous gardens, hosted legendary July 4th celebrations, pumpkin carving parties and was always up for impromptu get-togethers in her back yard.
Kathy was a member of the Junior League of Akron, the Akron Garden Club, St. Paul's Episcopal Church and it's Flower Guild. She was a volunteer for Mobile Meals, and a ready helper at her children's schools.
Preceded in death by her parents, Kathy will be greatly missed by her children, Philip and Alexandra; brothers, Michael (Michelle) Bangs, James Bangs and sister, Susan (David) Samuelson; niece, Lauren Bangs and nephews, Jack and Steven Samuelson; Fran & Tom Cheek and so many who were blessed by her friendship.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on THURSDAY, July 29 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St. Akron, 44313.
