Kathleen Mereda Pugsley

Kathleen (Kate) Mereda Pugsley, 92 of Brownsburg and formerly Walkerton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with family by her side. Kate was born on April 23, 1932, in Winamac, Indiana. She was the daughter of William DePoy and Dorothy Frye Blackford, who preceded her in death. Kate married Robert Clayton Pugsley Sr. on June 17, 1950, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2012.

Surviving are children Kathy Pugsley of Pittsboro and Bobby (Dawn) Pugsley of Walkerton; eight grandchildren Troy, Keri, Trisha, Shannon, Stephen, Jimmy, Eve and Terry; nine great-grandchildren Noah, Julia, Emma, Jill, Kate, Alex, Logan, Rori, Riley and Brogie; and two great-great grandchildren Brynnleigh and Shepherd. She was also preceded in death by her son Bryan Pugsley, stepmom Doris Daniels DePoy, sister Phyllis Frazier, sister Deloris Watson, brother Perry (Buck) DePoy and grand-daughter Stephanie.

Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2025, from 11:00 to 1:00 (Eastern Time) at Rannells Funeral Home?Koontz Lake. The service will follow the visitation at 1:00, conducted by Kate's nephew David Frazier. The burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, also known as Walkerton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Walkerton American Legion Post 189 Auxiliary.
