Haggai, Kathleen 12/2/1946 - 12/22/2021 Grand Rapids Kathleen "Kathy" Kuzma Haggai, age 75, passed away on her way to visit her family in California on December 22, 2021. Kathy lived in Grand Rapids, on the Westside. In loving memory of our mother, Kathleen Haggai, who passed away suddenly and tragically on December 22, 2021. She was 75 years old. She left us way too soon, but her presence and love will be with us eternally. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our mother was a kind, caring, and remarkable woman. Utterly full of grace and love, she always put the needs of others before her own. She was the most selfless person we knew and never asked for anything. A quick call or text to say hi would bring a smile to her face and joy to her heart. Ask her about her grandkids, and she would light up with pride and joy. Kathy always had a book in her hand and a recipe in her mind. Her happy place was at home, her mother's house, and our grandmother Laureen Kuzma. You could always find Kathy reading a novel or baking something incredible in her lovely kitchen. She also dedicated her life to education and found enormous joy in teaching and inspiring others. Kathy never stopped learning, had an insatiable appetite for knowledge, and was passionate and inspiring in the classroom. She was a strong woman and a source of inspiration to us all, and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Growing up, our mother was always there for us. She made us better, loved us unconditionally, and was truly amazing. Her hobbies and devotion were her children and family, which always came first. Her faith in God and a strong family bond helped shape who we are today, and we will be forever grateful for the tremendous love she had for us. Mother, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Memory Eternal Kathleen is survived by her daughter Christa Haggai Ramey, and her husband John and their children Max & Kathleen; her son John Haggai and his daughters, Georgia, Jordan, and Ryan; her sister Linda Huizinga and her husband Bob; and her nieces and nephews all of whom was loved deeply by her. Please come celebrate our mom's life with us. The funeral mass will be held at the Basilica of St. Adalbert on June 3rd at 11:00 AM.
